Interview with Reverend & The Makers

We had the pleasure of interviewing Reverend & The Makers over Zoom video!

The Reverend’s story is one of the great survival stories of the music industry as charisma, talent, defiance and sheer willpower. Jon is The Godfather to numerous northern bands coming through and was even labeled a guiding light to Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner during their early years. Jeremy Corbyn has introduced them onto stage and is a firm friend (he was also at their sold out show at Islington Academy).

With the recent release of their 7th studio album, Rev have fought back through adversity and are one of the great survivors of the British music scene. The bands recent single ‘Heatwave In The Cold North’, a hazy, sun-drenched Barry White-inspired soul bop, has become their biggest hit in over a decade - Radio 2 A-list, Record of the Week and a top 40 airplay hit.
