We had the pleasure of interviewing NERIAH over Zoom video.
Los Angeles born-and-bred singer/songwriter NERIAH, just released her brand new single, “Breakup Sex”, a biting new power-pop track detailing relationships past.
Coming on the heels of her debut EP, This is How The World Made Me, NERIAH is channeling her natural-born need for storytelling to create a sonic expression of the anger and disappointment shared by both parties of a breakup. Every song NERIAH writes is true from start to finish, and she is no newcomer to vulnerably sharing her life with the masses. Although she began cultivating a devoted following for her early Youtube vlogs, she has been expressing herself through music since she wrote her first song at the age of 5.
The LA-native has always found it imperative to be the writer of her own story as she explores her love of her hometown industry with honesty. Raised in both Brentwood and Malibu, the gifted singer/songwriter spent hours telling stories and singing as she drove up and down the coast. Now she spends day in and day out creating music that serves as a personal diary for listeners to take a page from.
“Breakup Sex” was released with all the momentum on NERIAH’s side, recently seeing a World First premiere on Zane Lowe’s World Record show for her previous single “Missing Somebody.” She also just headlined a very special pop-punk night at the iconic Troubadour!
