Lucas Carpenter, the “Art Kid From the Country,” is using his natural gift of storytelling and unique approach to musical technology and instrumental looping to usher in a new wave of singer/songwriter. As his own auxiliary player, he adds penny whistles, percussion, keyboards, and a multitude of other nuances to his audacious performances. ‘The Shimmer,’ his latest release, is a reflection of the journey Lucas Carpenter has long been on and the gratitude he has for both the highs and lows that have presented themselves along the way.
