We had the pleasure of interviewing JJ Sterry of Gang of Four over Zoom video!
John Sterry is the vocalist for Gang of Four - a revolutionary post-punk band that has been active since 1976. This year, founding member, and genre defining guitarist of the group, Andy Gill passed away. The Anti Hero EP was just released in July, sharing some new recordings and celebrating the life of Andy Gill.
There's so much to say about this EP, as a work of art, and as a celebration of the life of Andy Gill who passed away earlier this year. The short of it is there are 4 new recordings (2 brand new songs and new recordings of “Change The Locks” and “Glass,”) plus incredible album art from the iconic contemporary street artist, graphic designer, and activist Shepard Fairey. Also, all net receipts received by Gang of Four from sales and streams of the forthcoming EP and associated singles will be donated to Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity.
