We had the pleasure of interviewing Kevin Ross over Zoom video!

As he has his sights back on cracking Billboard’s Top 10 once again (currently #11 on Billboards’ Adult R&B charts), former Motown Records’ singer-songwriter Kevin Ross, is back with a brand-new project and he’s more sophisticated than ever. With a new, more defined style in both his music and fashion choices, the Washington, DC born, and current Philadelphia native is on the brink of superstardom.

Unlocking new chambers during quarantine which included acquiring a Bernedoodle named Kosby, Ross preaches about being an indie artist and entrepreneurship and the importance of owning your music. Kicking off Season 2 of his viral hit sensation “The Mash Up Show” which has featured guests such as Avant, SWV, Anthony Hamilton, and more, he turned his viral mashups to showcase and celebrate other artists with the use of social media to market his original music.

A true pioneer for indie R&B artists, Ross weighs in on the current state of R&B and why nostalgia is in with samples, how he’s adjusted to touring during a pandemic, blending the lines for his artistry with an upcoming collaboration with Afro B and Rotimi, tackling the international marker with his introduction to the Afrobeats scene and his new project, “Drive 2” out now.

This GRAMMY nominated and #1 Billboard chart topping recipient who has written for Toni Braxton, Tank, NE-YO, Trey Songz, and more is the future of R&B music.
